  1. I'll comment for you Jarred. I found it interesting that to be the leader of a big church in the U.S. just takes a dynamic leader not a passionate real faith. The same is true of any organization, your dad leads the school district well because he is a good dynamic leader. Ultimately God wants our hearts, a genuine passionate love for him. In my walk I have found that while I can be a dynamic worship leader, God really wants my heart. God moments can't be made to happen.

For instance we at UCYC create opportunities for God to move in lives, create an environment for conversations with others and with God, but we cannot program them to happen. Gunner dancing in the DH yesterday was a great example. The dining hall setting with kids sitting around and music playing was the perfect setting then the perfect song came on and Gunner started dancing. The kids soon were watching then joined in. Gunner is not a dynamic leader he is just a passionate kid who wanted to dance and the kids wanted to join him in his passion. That is how I want to lead, not resting on my "talent" as a leader rather resting on the passion I have for my Savior and other will see that and follow me, not to church or in a program I am doing but in a pure heartfelt way that is between them and their Savior.

  2. I want to clarify my second sentence...not all big churches are led by people who are just dynamic leaders. There are churches that are "successful" that are led by passionate for Christ dynamic leaders and by passionate for Christ non-dynamic leaders too.
